Only do this if you're sure it's safe software, there has been cases of iWork on dodgy download sites in the past that have been infected with malware. Then you have the option to click Open, temporarily bypassing Gatekeeper. Or, a quick way around it is to right-click (or Control-click) on the icon and select "Open" in the pop-up menu. ![]() REMEMBER TO TURN IT BACK TO THE OPTION IT'S CURRENTLY SET TO AFTERWARDS THOUGH! Only if you're sure that this is legitimate software…Ĭheck out System Preferences > Security & Privacy - click the lock icon at the bottom and enter your administrator username and password, then temporarily use the "Allow applications downloaded from… Anywhere" option. The message you're seeing is Mac OS X's Gatekeeper, which alerts you to software that could potentially damage your computer. ![]() Where did you download it from? Apple website should be safe, anywhere else might be dodgy.
